Weekenders Golf Club has been around for over 42 years, it plays on SUNDAYS from April- October and is off Holiday weekends. We are the only golf club that has a set match schedule as well as a 36 hole club championship. The Weekenders play at courses in central and northern NJ, Eastern PA and NY. Our scholarship is named in honor of my father, Joseph J. DeVivo, 87, who was abducted from his home and murdered in 2012. The Lebanon Township Education Foundation is a non-profit group dedicated to promoting education in Lebanon Township, NJ. The organization sponsors community education programs, underwrites teacher grants, and funds capital improvement projects in the township’s elementary and middle schools. Our efforts have resulted in a new playground at the elementary school and technology contributions (SMART Boards, tablet computers, etc) to both schools, just to name a few of our accomplishments. It is an effective school-parent-community partnership that continues to enrich the educational experience in Lebanon Township.

We are preparing for our annual Silent Auction to be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 and are asking for your support. This annual affair – now in its 7th year – is our major fundraising event of the year and has contributed close to $50,000 to foundation initiatives over the last six years. This year, we are raising money to construct outdoor recreation and physical education facilities at the middle school.

We hope you will support our efforts by donating a golf foursome for our silent auction.

Your donation will be recognized in the event program. We also welcome you to provide business cards and literature for display at the event. The warmer weather has been great! I’ve been more interested in golf this season than ever before. I’m even attending a golf night at the Lakewood BlueClaws just because of my new found love for golf. And when I can combine that with my first love, baseball, I will always jump at the chance!

Thanks for the update. The county page at http://www.essex-countynj.org/p/index.php?section=golf/weeq&ImgLoc=images/weeq_golf shows the address as Elizabeth and Grumman Avenue so we updated the listing to that.
